September-May
The Way
Mount Olivet establishes a dynamic partnership with families in the Christian education and faith development of their children.  Instead of traditional Sunday Church School classes, 5th and 6th graders participate in The Way, a pre-Confirmation program Sunday mornings. This is an exciting program for young people as they transition from Sunday Church School into Confirmation on their faith journey.

Chapel Choir
A choir for the intermediate age singer.  4th through 6th graders use their musical knowledge to begin part-singing as well as explore the use of "hands on" instrumental accompaniments.  These advanced choristers will utilize their musical gifts in a variety of different ways through the choir year!

Joy Bells
Joy Bells is a handbell ensemble experience for 4th through 6th graders. Rhythmic and musical skills are learned and enhanced in this special instrumental group. Some previous musical knowledge is preferred but not necessary. The ensemble performs in worship services throughout the year and plays an important role in the yearly Christmas Concert.

Joyful Noise! - Orff Ensemble
An instrumental ensemble of xylophones, glockenspiels, metallophones, and rhythm instruments. During class time, the children, grades 4th through 6th, will learn to play the various instruments while singing, moving, playing, improvising, and composing.

Summer
Camp SOAP
Camp SOAP (Summer of Awesome Programs), our 5th & 6th grade service learning camp, is held at our Retreat Center in Farmington, MN.  Students meet at either our Minneapolis or West Campus in the morning. Campers and counselors will have fun with outdoor and indoor activities, crafts, swimming (with a certified lifeguard), games, faith-building activities, chapel time, and so much more! Members, non-members, and friends welcome!

Cathedral of the Pines Camp
Cathedral of the Pines, a youth camp located 260 miles north of Minneapolis, combines some of the best ingredients for a positive summer experience...prayer, praise, education and recreation. The camp schedule includes separate weeks for children entering third grade through high school graduating seniors. Adult and family retreats are offered throughout the camping season.

FunDays
One-day adventures for K-2nd graders and 3rd-6th graders in June and August. Click above link for dates, details, and registration. Kids are welcome to attend one adventure or all of them!

God's Kids Sing!
God's Kids Sing! is a fun-filled creative arts camp for children entering 1st through 6th grade. Every day participants will have a blast singing, moving, and making awesome art projects in sessions lead by professional educators and enthusiastic high school counselors. Bring a school friend and make some new ones - God's Kids Sing! is tons of fun for everyone!

Year-round
Children & Family Ministry Events
Whether it is through a special Advent family event or volunteering together on a service project, fun-filled, faith-building events are held throughout the year. Families or all shapes and sizes welcome.
