This year’s Day Lenten Journey offers a unique opportunity to wrestle with the meaning of the cross for us today as we look at Luther’s teachings through two very special sessions led by Dr. Mark Tranvik, Professor of Religion at Augsburg College: "How Luther Got Crossed-up" and "His Cross is Your Cross." Bringing additional richness and meaning to the day will be special music by Kraig Windschitl, art, worship led by Pastor Drew Bakken, and as always, good food and fellowship. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to set the stage for a very special Lenten season indeed!

Cost: $25. Complimentary bus from 7500 York (8:45am), West (9am), Mpls (9:15am). Call 952.469.2175 or email kretka@mtolivetretreat.org for information and registration.

Lent 2017

Midweek Lenten worship services will lift up the Ten Commandments – God’s law designed to bring us into closer relationship with God and our neighbors. Gain new insight as we reflect on Luther’s explanation of each of these familiar directives.

To deepen our Lenten journey, two resources will be mailed to members: 40-Day Journey with Martin Luther, a devotional book rooted in Luther’s teachings, and Luther’s Small Catechism.
