Prayerful Yoga

Prayerful Yoga emphasizes synergies between our Christian faith and yoga principles.  Through biblical devotions and guided yoga practice, Liz Otteson and Rachel Kamin help answer the question, “How can my yoga practice enrich my walk with Christ?” Join our April session and tap into fruit of the Holy Spirit – like peace, love, joy, gentleness, and self-control – as we explore yoga principles relating to our bodies' energy centers.)

Chair Holy Yoga

MPLS: Mon & Wed, 12:15-1:15 pm,  Gym (May-Aug Chair Holy Yoga moves to 1700 Chapel Lower Level)

Taught by certified instructors, chair holy yoga provides a great physical and spiritual boost to your day, while not requiring you to get down and up from the floor. No registration is needed, and all are welcome! Energy Healing

MPLS: Mondays, 6-9:30pm, 1700 Chapel Fellowship Hall

Learn how the combination of prayer, God's power, and the natural energy paths within the body can bring comfort and healing.  You will learn with experienced leaders who have helped many people find release of pain and healing.  Underscoring the techniques is the firm belief that any release of pain or healing comes from God guiding them to utilize the miraculous way in which God created our bodies for health and healing.  Every Monday of month (excluding holidays); no cost.  For more information or to register, contact Carol Throntveit: 612.767.2246, carolt@mtolivet.org.

 
 

Introduction to Infant Massage

Calling all new parents and grandparents! Learn the how and why of infant massage in this personal, one-session, by-appointment class taught by Donna Teien, R.N., Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Benefits include strengthening of the respiratory, digestive, and regulatory systems, better sleep, physical comfort, bonding, and trust. All you need is baby and a blanket for baby to lie on and you to sit on. If a partner or other caregiver is joining you, he or she can practice strokes on a doll.
