Cellist Diane Loudon has appeared regularly as an orchestral musician with many professional orchestras around the country. She can be heard performing as a soloist and chamber musician around the Twin Cities and has played for such musical acts as Charlotte Church, Michael Bolton, Aretha Franklin, and Smokey Robinson. An avid pedagogue, Ms. Loudon has maintained a cello studio in the Twin Cities for over fifteen years and is currently a cello instructor at the Mount Olivet School of Music. She also serves as manager and cellist for Rosewood String Ensemble. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in cello performance from the University of Illinois - Champaign-Urbana.

Tenor Aaron Humble has performed in opera, recital, concert, and chamber music venues. During his tenure with Cantus, Aaron enjoyed solo appearances with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Boston Pops and concert appearances at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, The Library of Congress, Wolf Trap, and The Chautauqua Institute. Aaron has taught at Augustana College (IL) and is now on faculty at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota where he teaches applied voice, diction, and conducts the University Chorale.

Maggie Lofboom, mezzo-soprano, is a frequent Mount Olivet soloist and regularly performs with the Minnesota Opera and Opera On Tap. She holds a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from Augsburg College.

The MOCW board is hosting a fun social to bring together all circle members and anyone that has ever wondered what MOCW is all about. Join us on Wednesday, August 9th at an open house-style happy hour. Drop by Edina Country Club anytime between 4:30-7:00pm. The 36th Annual MOCW Christmas Brunch will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 10am in the Fellowship Hall, Minneapolis Campus. S.G. Edelweiss Folk Dancers will entertain with German and Austrian folk dances. Cost: $15 nonrefundable payment due with registration by 12/12 at www.mtolivet.org. Ticket assistance available at the MOCW Holiday Boutique.

MITTENS * MITTENS * MITTENS
Warm your heart and someone’s hands by donating warm mittens for those less fortunate. New mittens, hats or scarves of all sizes are much appreciated. Please bring donations to the Church Office at the Minneapolis Campus or to the Narthex at the West Campus. Donations may be deposited in the large ‘Mitten Basket’ provided. Donations will be accepted from November 6th through December 16th. Last year we collected over 1,100 hats, scarves and mittens. We will display the donated items at the MOCW Christmas Brunch on 12/17 and then deliver to those in need.
