Brian Ohnsorg, tenor, is a Mount Olivet member and serves as the assistant conductor of the Mount Olivet Senior Choir. Brian has sung with professional ensembles such as The Minnesota Chorale, VocalEssence Ensemble Singers, the Minnesota Bach Society and the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus. In addition to his work as a musician at Mount Olivet, Brian works as a choral director at Farmington High School. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota.

Flutist Julie Johnson performs at numerous venues throughout the Twin Cities and freelances with many orchestras, chamber groups, blues bands, and jazz groups. A finalist for the McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians and a winner of grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the American Composers Forum, the Lanesboro Arts Center, the Jerome Foundation, Springboard for the Arts, MacPhail Center for Music, MRAC, and a Banff Centre residency, she plays in many styles, working to bring both the flute and her audiences to music they haven’t been in contact with before. In addition to her active performing schedule, Julie teaches at the Mount Olivet School of Music.

Amanda Jenkins, soprano, is a Mount Olivet member and frequent soloist. She has performed locally with The Minnesota Orchestra, Skylark Opera, The Minnesota Opera, Theatre Latté Da, and The Gilbert Sullivan Light Opera Company. Amanda also serves as co-director of the Chancel Choir at the Minneapolis Campus and works as the Assistant to the Director of Worship and Music. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota.

Plan to join us each Wednesday evening from June 13 - August 1 for an evening of fellowship, great food, enjoyment of nature and inspirational worship. In keeping with our summer worship theme, Life Changing Stories,each week's presiding pastor will share a favorite Bible story and the impact it has had on his or her own life.

This week, Pastor Michael Zacher will lead us in worship with special music by Teresa Elsbernd. Lisa Lozito will be our accompanist. Dinner will feature BBQ pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus and blueberry cobbler with whipped cream. Naturalist Dan Kahl will offer another fascinating nature talk.

4:30 p.m. Buses leave West and 7500 York
5:00 p.m. Bus leaves Minneapolis
5:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner is served
6:30-7:00 p.m. Nature Talk
7:15-8:00 p.m. Worship
8:00 p.m. Buses depart Conferennce & Retreat Center

Dana Donnay, oboe, is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and also attended the University of Minnesota. She is a freelance musician who plays with many orchestras and ensembles throughout the Midwest and is a member of The Bloomington Civic Theater Orchestra, where she can be found playing flute, oboe, clarinet or saxophone. She teaches at Mount Calvary Academy of Music in Excelsior and Mount Olivet School of Music in Minneapolis.
