He was honored as a district winner in the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition and won the American finals of the International Lirico Concorso Competition in 2011. Join us this summer as we lift up the theme "Joyous Light of Heavenly Glory" and celebrate 40 years of retreat ministry at our Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center. Worship this summer will feature liturgies from Evening Prayer "Vespers" and Compline "Prayer at the Close of the Day," led by each of our Mount Olivet pastors. With the support of Kraig Windschitl and special musical guests we will feature new hymns as well as some familiar favorites. This special midday service with Pastor Kalland includes an outstanding lunch and a fascinating nature class as well. Please see our website or call the Retreat Center for details and reservations.

Dana Donnay, oboe, is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and also attended the University of Minnesota. She is a freelance musician who plays with many orchestras and ensembles throughout the Midwest and is a member of The Bloomington Civic Theater Orchestra, where she can be found playing flute, oboe, clarinet or saxophone. She teaches at Mount Calvary Academy of Music in Excelsior and Mount Olivet School of Music in Minneapolis.

Cellist Diane Loudon has appeared regularly as an orchestral musician with many professional orchestras around the country. She can be heard performing as a soloist and chamber musician around the Twin Cities and has played for such musical acts as Charlotte Church, Michael Bolton, Aretha Franklin, and Smokey Robinson. An avid pedagogue, Ms. Loudon has maintained a cello studio in the Twin Cities for over fifteen years and is currently a cello instructor at the Mount Olivet School of Music. She also serves as manager and cellist for Rosewood String Ensemble. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in cello performance from the University of Illinois - Champaign-Urbana.

Summer Food Drive to help alleviate World Hunger.

Greg Dokken, baritone, holds degrees in music from the University of Minnesota and Gustavus Adolphus College. Active in opera and choral music, Greg has sung major roles in several opera productions, has appeared as the baritone soloist with the Minnesota Bach Ensemble, and has also performed solos for Bach’s St. John’s Passion, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, and Brahms’ Requiem. He was recipient of the Baake Choral Scholarship as section leader for the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra Chorus for the 2008-2010 seasons. Greg can frequently be seen performing with the Minnesota Chorale as a bass section leader.

Brian Ohnsorg, tenor, is a Mount Olivet member and serves as the assistant conductor of the Mount Olivet Senior Choir. Brian has sung locally with VocalEssense Ensemble Singers and the Minnesota Chorale. His solo engagements have included Dvorak's Stabat Mater, Handel's Messiah, and Bach's St. John's Passion. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota.
