One piano, Two piano, Three piano, Four: Piano Ensemble Camp

“I can play piano with my friends!  Awesome!”   Piano students will be thrilled with the opportunity to play classical, jazz, and popular tunes with a friend or two or in a larger group.  Learning skills such as teamwork, sight-reading, active listening, and musical critique students will be motivated to put their already-learned piano skills to work by making music in ensemble.  Students will receive music in advance to prepare for duets, trios and the like.  We will also incorporate percussion instruments for large group pieces.  Do you already have a piano friend that you like to play with?  Excellent!  Pre-formed ensembles are encouraged.  Adults and friends are welcome to attend the mini-recital at the end of camp.  Students will have had at least 1 year of piano study before enrolling in this camp! Meets: Monday-Thursday, 8/11-8/14 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM 

Audience: Piano students entering 4th-6th grade Tuition: $110.00 per person (includes $20 materials fee for music)

                          NEXT!!! Preparing for the musical theater audition
Are you facing an audition when you return to school this fall?  Would you like to wow the director of the musical and land the role you were born to fill?  This group class can prepare you to put your best foot forward at your audition. Amanda Broge ( along with some special guests) will teach this class and share her extensive experience with the audition process.  Selection of repertoire, resume preparation and general presentation are some of the topics that will be covered.  The class will culminate in an audition “master class” where participants will observe each other audition for a three person panel. 

Teacher:  Amanda Broge   Meets: Tuesday and Thursdays, August 5th, 7th, 12th and 14th: 5:30—7:30 pm

Audience:  Entering grade 9 through adult    Tuition: $150

Animals Galore: Music and More

Lions, mice, fish, birds and kids...Oh my!  Designed for children looking to start music lessons in the near future or those who have recently started lessons, this camp offers the opportunity to experience music fundamentals through interactive learning.  Using  the delightful compositions of Saint-Saën's Carnival of the Animals as a basis for the camp, students will experience music with their bodies, voices, and instrument play. Students will also create their own musical song based on some favorite animals.  This class also extends the musical activities through literary and visual art components.  Students will receive their own book and CD.  No musical prerequisite needed!  Teachers: Emily Rock and /or Emily Ireland

Meets: Session I Mon - Thu, 7/28-7/31 9:00-10:15 AM ; Session II Mon-Thur, 8/11-8/14 9:00-10:15 AM

Audience: Students entering Kindergarten-2nd  grade  Tuition:  $100 per student (includes a $20 materials fee for book and CD)

Enrollment: Minimum 5 students, Maximum 16 students  Register: by July 14th (Session I) or by July 28th (Session II)

Booster Shot Piano Camp

Need a jumpstart to fall lessons?  This is the perfect camp for inspiration, coverage and review of all the major concepts you need in piano!  In a whirlwind 4 day camp, you will not stop laughing as you are challenged to complete the around the world "Great Race" style piano puzzle.  Students will cross the world while improving their playing, sight-reading, ear training, and history knowledge.  Teams will play games, research, write, and play piano all in an attempt to complete the race!  By the time lessons start this fall, your parents will have to tear you away from the piano!  Students will have had at least 1 year of piano study before enrolling in this camp!  Teachers:  Emily Ireland and/or Emily Rock  Meets: Mon-Thu 8/25 - 8/28,  9:00 AM - 10:30 AM  Audience: Piano students entering 3rd-6th grade

The Spark of Creation: Composers Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Did you know we pianists play music that was written almost 200-400 years ago? Wouldn't it be awesome if you could write a piece of music that people were still playing 400 years from today?!  In this jam-packed 4-day super piano camp, you will unlock the secrets of the great composers like Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven and create your own composition using these same techniques.  Students will have had at least 1 year of piano study before enrolling in this camp.   Teachers: Emily Rock and /or Emily Ireland   

Meets: Mon-Thurs 7/28 - 7/31, 10:30 am  -12:00 pm   Audience:  Piano students entering 2nd-4th grade
