Please
prayerfully consider the class/time option when you register your child to make sure you choose a time that will provide the
most consistent experience for your child. Registration will close Wednesday, September 8 - Monday, September 13.
Minneapolis: If you
choose to register in person on Rally Sunday (September 12), you will receive a class assignment and you should worship together
with your child. The first class would meet September 19. Sunday
Church School and The Way
Sunday Church School at Mount Olivet establishes
a dynamic partnership with families in the Christian education and faith development of their children. The Sunday Church School experience welcomes children 3 years of age through 4th grade,
and is designed to familiarize children with the wonderful story of God's faithfulness centered in the Good News of the Gospel.
The curriculum is biblically based, child-centered and age-appropriate. In
5th grade students advance into The Way - a unique spiritual adventure designed just for them - focusing on topics
that relate to the important and changing "pre-teen" years. We are learning to love our neighbors
by: contributing to our Thanksgiving food drive, sharing Christmas with 63 Twin Cities neighbor families, creating
Valentine's Day cards for older members, making thank you cards to military
members, presenting a short play to our younger students, and giving "above and beyond" during our Lent weekly offerings for our neighbors in Minneapolis and Mexicol!!
If you’d
like to volunteer to be a classroom assistant, substitute teacher, or superintendent (help teachers Sunday morning and pick
up attendance from each class), please email Sarah at sarahk@mtolivet.org to volunteer in Minneapolis and Ellen Ruiters at ellenr@mtolivet.org at West.
The
Way This year,
the pre-Confirmation program for 5th and 6th graders focus on the Bible. Next year, we will focus
on the small catechism.
