Congratulations, Pastor Knutson!

Kate Knutson, Seminarian and Pastoral Intern has completed her degree at Luther Seminary. Her time at Mount Olivet will slowly be coming to a close. She will be moving to Dallas, TX, to pursue her call as a pastor. Kate said, “I am so beyond thankful for my Mount Olivet family and that I have been able to call this congregation home since I was born. This church will always have a huge spot in my heart. Be on the lookout for information regarding my ordination. Thank you all for walking with me throughout this process!” Our thanks to Kate for her good work with the Children & Family Team this past year, and we wish her all the best as she continues in this process.

Don’t Miss Babygarten OUTDOORS!

Water, bubbles and sand will add to the fun! The program, developed by a children’s librarian and early childhood specialist, focuses on reading, rhyming, and activities to help lay the groundwork for the important skills that babies develop early in their lives. Babygarten is more than a playgroup or storytime – it provides pre-literacy skills for children in a faith-focused environment. Amy Porthan, early childhood educator and Mount Olivet nursery coordinator, will guide parents with activities and discussion on how to include God and faith with their child. $72 / 6-week session (includes all materials). New Mpls Campus Sunday Morning Cherub Choir & Sunday School Option for Fall 2017

We’re thrilled to offer a Cherub Choir and Sunday School combined class this fall at the Minneapolis Campus 10am service. Your child will have the opportunity to enjoy a Sunday School lesson for the first half of class, and attend choir practice for the second half of class. We hope this collaboration allows children ages 3-5 who may not be able to attend choir practice on a weeknight the opportunity to participate in both programs. Registration for this Cherub Choir / Sunday School option is open online.

Register Now for 2017-18 Sunday School

It’s a great time to register for Sunday School this fall. We’ll look forward to having your child(ren) join us as we explore a new curriculum and new format for Sunday mornings at the Mpls & West Campuses. We’ll be using the Group Publishing curriculum in a varied, and hands-on approach. We’ll also start with a large group format and break into small groups as we learn about faith while we continue building connections and friendships at church.
