2017 Capital Campaign Update

As you know, Pledge Sunday was May 7, 2017, for Phase Two of our capital campaign first begun in 2014. The two remaining projects are: (1) The West Campus Addition that includes education, music, youth, hospitality, administration, and more worship space – all under one roof! (2) The MPLS Campus East Addition that includes a larger choir rehearsal hall, music rooms, and learning spaces for youth and adults. We are very thankful that many gifts and pledges continue to come in FOR BOTH OF THESE MUCH-NEEDED PROJECTS. As of the deadline for sending this July Mount Olivet Messenger to press, the gifts and pledges still were being counted. It takes extra care and time to ensure that every gift and pledge is entered accurately and with the correct donor designation. If you have been thinking about participating, there still is time to act as we continue to finish the accounting for the projects. Gifts of all sizes still are needed TO REACH the GOALS for both projects! Pledge forms are available at the information desks at both campuses and at www.mtolivet.org. There are many ways to give. Please contact Mari Carlson 612.821.3150 mcarlson@mtolivethomes.org to discuss a way that works best for you. Thank you for your support!

Memorial and Tribute Gifts Make a Difference

Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and its six affiliated ministries are grateful for memorials and tribute gifts which provide much-needed financial support for programs that enhance the lives of many people.

Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to remember family members and friends who have died. Making a gift is a meaningful way to express our sympathy. Gifts given in honor of someone help celebrate special occasions like baptisms, weddings, and anniversaries.  The tribute makes the people involved feel very special.

Every gift given “in memory of” or “in honor of” is acknowledged through a thank you letter. Donor requests to notify someone of a gift are always fulfilled. Gift envelopes are available in the church offices at both campuses and from any affiliated ministry.

The Mount Olivet family thanks the many donors who give memorial and tribute gifts. Your gifts represent your love of Christ and the ministry we share.
Thank you!

Vision Partner Event: Minnesota Orchestra – New Re-formation Symphony

Sa 11/4, 6pm Dinner, 8pm Concert, Orchestra Hall. In 1830, Felix Mendelssohn composed Symphony
No. 5, commonly called the Reformation Symphony to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Presentation of the Augsburg Confession. In 2017, to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Luther posting the 95 Theses on the Wittenberg church door, a new work entitled Re-formation by Sebastian Currier has been commissioned by the Minnesota Orchestra thanks to the generosity of Mount Olivet members Kathy and Charlie Cunningham. Both symphonies will be performed by the Minnesota Orchestra on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Invitations to this special event will be mailed to all current Mount Olivet Vision Partners. See the information below about who Vision Partners are and how you could become a Vision Partner. Questions: Mari Carlson 612.821.3150 mcarlson@mtolivethomes.org.
