Definition from Merriam-Webster dictionary (www.meriam-webster.com)

What’s not to love about this word fellowship? I know I myself crave comradery, community, companionship, and company. Do you feel the same?

Ten months ago when I became the Director of Fellowship at Mount Olivet, I had no idea what this term would come to mean to me. Every day I get to come to work and devote my time, effort, and energy toward supporting fellowship opportunities for our members. This can be something as simple as connecting two people with similar interests, to something as large as assisting the Mount Olivet Church Women (MOCW) Board put on the annual Fashion Show for over 400 people or supporting the Mount Olivet Homes’ Auxiliary (MOHA) as they host the Annual Garage Sale which draws thousands through our doors as donors, volunteers, and shoppers.

Most importantly, I get to do my work in fellowship with others. I work with a rock-star team which includes Pastor Hammersten and Katie Shepherd, in collaboration with other departments at Mount Olivet (for example, Liz Otteson in the Adult Education department and I worked together on the Walk with a Pastor series for this summer – check it out) and with countless members. The times spent planning, coordinating, and attending the various fellowship events with all of YOU are the most rewarding aspects of my role here. I invite you to join me for some comradery, community, companionship, and company. What fun to be in fellowship. – Stephanie Zahrbock, Director of Fellowship
