INDIVIDUAL FUND RAISING: If you are interested in raising money individually to help pay for your cost of the trip we have a program that will give you 5.00 for every 10.00 bottle of Livia’s Season Salt that you sell. For example, if you sold 20 bottles of salt the amount due for the trip would be 550.00 rather than 650.00. There is no limit as to the number of bottles you can sell. The dates for this program are from November 1 thru January 1. Please contact Dane Moore for the specific details as he is the lead manager on this project. Danem@mtolivet.org
ATTENDANCE: We have learned from the past that it is necessary to review and carefully check who is consistently committed to choir through their attendance on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. Wednesdays and Sundays naturally go hand in hand as time to learn and time to perform. Beginning Sunday, November 9 we will be charting absences more carefully. To be in good standing as a choir member you are allowed to have 4 Wednesday absences and 4 Sunday morning absences excused or unexcused between now and May 17. The Christmas Concerts on December 14 are included in these dates. Please remember that there are already some Sundays that Cathedral Choir does NOT sing. For example, this semester, you are not scheduled on the morning of December 14 (concert day) or Sunday, December 28. In addition, due to holiday travel we do not count these dates Wednesday, November 26, Thanksgiving, November 27, Sunday, November 30 and Christmas Eve.
Lastly, we understand that there will be some unique circumstances that will need to be addressed on an individual basis. This policy is not intended to be punitive - rather it is intended to lead members in a direction that will make choir the most beneficial for its members. We truly believe that the benefits we receive from virtually any endeavor are directly related to how much we are committed to it!
We love each one of you and admire the fact that you are young people who are committed to your church and your faith. We look forward to seeing you each week and thank you in advance for using your talents to serve others in such a meaningful way!
Please feel free to contact me or any of the youth staff if you have any questions or concerns.
Love, Dr. C
