Via de Cristo is a Spanish phrase meaning "Way of Christ." Via de Cristo is a structured three-day weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people and bring them to a new awareness of living in God's grace. The weekend is a combination of presentations from clergy and lay people with time for worship, singing and prayer. The days are spiritual as well as fun-filled. It is a combined effort of lay people and clergy toward renewal of the church.

Mount Olivet Church has many members who have experienced the Via de Cristo weekend. Some, since their weekend, have continued to share their faith and support one another in small groups. The small groups, or "renewal groups," are formed to enhance your faith life through study, prayer and action. So, what was only a beginning at the Via de Cristo weekend carries over into daily living. Also, the Mount Olivet Via de Cristo members currently meet 8 times a year for fellowship and a potluck lunch after church the 2nd Sunday of the month. Members and non-members are invited to attend our fellowship group.
