King's Kids Day Camp (1st- 2nd Grade) Venture to the Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center to explore God's creation, learn Bible stories, have fun, and make friends! This year we will focus on the Beatitudes and we will learn to be good stewards of God’s world. The camping experience consists of both large and small group activities, including chapel, swimming in the indoor pool, crafts, games, nature exploration, meals, snacks and so much more! Overnight Camp Through service learning projects, team-building activities, Bible studies and fellowship with one another, Summer of Service (S.O.S.) campers will focus on God's call to serve others. Campers are assigned to a small group, led by a trained and talented high school age counselor. Exploring the Mount Olivet Conference and Retreat Center, activities include; chapel, swimming, crafts, games, meals and snacks. Activities designed specifically for your 5th and 6th grader feature a challenge-course and service opportunities, including a service-oriented field trip. We begin at each campus and travel together to Paint Your Plate, where fun and energetic staff will help your family DESIGN a beautiful ceramic piece together. Families will have the option to purchase additional items. While wrapping up our masterpieces, we will DINE on a catered dinner from Noodles & Company, including sides and beverages. Family Event: Tune-Up & Ride with Calhoun Cycle 6/7 Meet at Lake Harriet Bandshell 11:30am - 2:15pm Get out and enjoy the beauty of Lake Harriet with the Children's and Family Ministry team and guest presenters from Calhoun Cycle! We will meet at the Lake Harriet Bandshell for a 3-mile bike ride around beautiful Lake Harriet. Before we set-out, special guests from the Calhoun Cycle bike shop will be on hand to help with simple tune-ups, answer questions about sizing and bike maintenance, and speak about bike safety! After our 3-mile loop, we will have a picnic lunch at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. Water and a cooler to store your lunches will be provided. After lunch, families are welcome to join us for an optional ride 3-mile ride around connecting Lake Calhoun.
