This summer's project is "Time for Toys." We are collecting new toys, games, books and stuffed animals to share with children who have experienced a recent natural disaster in the United States. We will share gifts received with precious children, who may have lost everything, in recent disasters such as Hurricane Isaac and Sandy, the Colorado wildfire and the Christmas 2012 tornado outbreak. Collection will be in the narthex of both campuses June 2nd - August 25th.

Some may recognize her as a member of Lorie Line's Pop Chamber Orchestra. Critically acclaimed by the NY Times and Opera News, lyric baritone Gabriel Preisser hails from the small town of Apopka, Florida. His resume includes over 30 operatic and musical theater roles including Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Danilo in The Merry Widow, the title role in Don Giovanni, and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, with such companies as Opera Philadelphia, Minnesota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Kentucky Opera and others. He recently created the role of Lt. Gordon in the world premiere of Kevin Putz’s Pulitzer Prize winning Silent Night with Minnesota Opera and Opera Philadelphia. Mr. Preisser has also been a featured soloist with the Minnesota Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic, Houston Bach Society, Ars Lyrica, Atlanta Ballet, and Mercury Baroques and was honored as a district winner in the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition.
