Grief and Loss Groups Coping with the death of a loved one is one of life’s most stressful experiences. Attempts
to deny the confusion and pain can promote despair and loneliness. These groups offer understanding, support and education
around the grieving process in a caring atmosphere. This understanding increases our coping skills and
leads to personal growth.

who have lost their significant other through death.

Caregivers Support Group Tuesdays,
January 10 - March 13 • 2-3:15pm Caregiving can be a lonely and confusing task.
Caregiving can send your emotions on a roller coaster ride; ranging from fear and guilt to hope and sadness. Do you
find yourself wishing you could talk with others who are experiencing the same range of emotions? Others who might understand
how lonely and difficult this task can be? If so, please join us to share thoughts about this journey.
Divorced and Separated Tuesdays, January 10 - March 13 • 7:30-8:45pm Learning to be single again after being a part of a couple poses many challenges. Take this opportunity
to be with others in the process of making similar adjustments.

Fibromyalgia Second Thursday of each month • 11:45am to 1pm December 8, January 12, February 9, March
8 People who are seeking ways to adjust to living with fibromyalgia can share and care with others as they learn
to improve the quality of their own lives and help others do the same. Meets in Mpls Campus Church Lounge. Facilitated
by Sandy Connell, parish nurse.
Learn More about Alzheimer's and Dementia First Thursday of each month • 2-3:30pm December
1, January 5, February 2, March 1 Pastoral Care and Mount Olivet Counseling Service join together to provide
the latest findings and discoveries related to Alzheimer's and Dementia. Meets in Mpls Campus Church Lounge. Facilitated
by Sandy Connell, parish nurse and Vicki Franzen, M.A., LMFT, Group Therapist. Ginny Cullen, Director of Mount Olivet
Day Services, has offered to provide free respite care for those who need it during the meeting. This will be held in the
church library. Reservations for respite care must be made in advance by calling Ginny Cullen at 612.861.3305.
Balancing Your Emotions ~ New Group

12 - March 15 ~ 7:45-8:45pm Do you find yourself being overwhelmed with life? Do you experience intense, prolonged
periods of sadness, anxiety, emptiness, difficulty with sleeping, or eating? Are there times when you find
it difficult to concentrate or feel completely unmotivated? Throughout our lives there can be times when life feels more difficult to manage and our emotions feel out of balance.
This happens to many of us at different times of our lives. If this is happening to you please consider
joining our new group at Mount Olivet West Campus. In this group you will learn to pay attention to your
thoughts while balancing your emotions so you can regain a sense of well-being.
