    REGISTER NOW

    Registration
Classes are at 9, 10, or 11 a.m. at Minneapolis and West/Victoria.  Members and non-members are welcome to register during the year.  Teacher/classroom assignments will be emailed on/before Sunday.  Classes are from September 8 through April 27 (no classes December 22 or 29 or on Easter Sunday - April 20).

    Program
Mount Olivet establishes a dynamic partnership with families in the Christian education and faith development of their children.  Instead of traditional Sunday Church School classes, 5th and 6th graders participate in The Way, a pre-Confirmation program Sunday mornings. This is an exciting program for young people as they transition from Sunday Church School into Confirmation on their faith journey.

Students in 5th and 6th grades are invited to enhance their faith through educational, service, and fellowship activities. Students experience the importance of Christian friendships and faith for life. We focus on Jesus' call to serve others.

While the students learn about the Bible, Martin Luther, and other typical Sunday School lessons, the program has several differences, including:

    • A unique format with large and small group time to build friendships and get to know one another.
      • After a large group Bible lesson overview (and game, quiz show, skit, or devotions), we meet in small groups based on grades.
    • We have our own events:
      • 5th graders have a Bible Presentation and Dinner with their parents on Reformation Sunday in October.
      • 6th graders have Holy Communion in the Spring to mark the beginning of their Confirmation journey.  Details will be emailed from our Confirmation coordinators.
      • Social and service events during the year!  We will announce these events during class and via email.
