Classes are at 9, 10, or 11 a.m. at Minneapolis and West/Victoria.  Members and non-members are welcome to register at any time during the year.  Please note: we will close registration from Wednesday, September 3 through Monday, September 8, to ensure our volunteers can best prepare for all registered students’ first day of class. Registrations completed after that time are invited to join their classes the following Sunday, September 14.

Classes are held Rally Sunday, September 7 through May 17 (no classes December 21 or 28 or on Easter Sunday - April 5).

Teacher/classroom assignments will be emailed the last week of August.

Believing, belonging, becoming...
SundayStudents share Christmas with neighbors. Church School at Mount Olivet establishes a dynamic partnership with families in the Christian education and faith development of their children.

The Sunday Church School experience welcomes children 3 years of age (as of September 1) through 4th grade, and is designed to familiarize children with the wonderful story of God's faithfulness centered in the Good News of the Gospel.

Sunday Church School uses Spark!, a biblically based, child-centered and age-appropriate curriculum.  Children in Sunday Church School:

  • explore Bible stories through storytelling, craft time, and dramatic play,
  • contribute to our Thanksgiving food drive,
  • share Christmas with over 70 neighbor families with Pastor Scott and VEAP,
  • create Valentine's Day cards for older members, and
  • give "above and beyond" during weekly offerings for our neighbors at home and abroad!!

Each week we continue to build on the fundamentals of faith, learning stories in the Bible and that we are all God's children.

“I am excited for my last year in Sunday School before I start The Way.  I enjoy learning about Jesus and God.  It’s fun to see friends that I haven’t seen much over the summer.  Plus all the new friends I make at King’s Kids Camp.” - EllaIn 5th grade students advance into The Way, a unique spiritual adventure designed just for them - focusing on topics that relate to the important and changing "pre-teen" years.  This pre-Confirmation program is for 5th & 6th graders before Confirmation begins in 7th grade.
