3 years old-4th grade

Sunday Church School at Mount Olivet establishes a dynamic partnership with families in the Christian education and faith development of their children. The Sunday Church School experience welcomes children 3 years of age through 4th grade, and is designed to familiarize children with the wonderful story of God's faithfulness centered in the Good News of the Gospel. In 5th grade students advance into The Way a unique spiritual adventure designed just for them - focusing on topics that relate to the important and changing "pre-teen" years.

Our Sunday Church School uses Spark!, a biblically based, child-centered and age-appropriate curriculum.  Our program depends on volunteers to serve as classroom leaders, assistants, substitutes, and other helpers.

Children in Sunday Church School:

  • contribute to our Thanksgiving food drive,
  • share Christmas with 63 Twin Cities neighbor families,
  • create Valentine's Day cards for older members,
  • make thank you cards to military members, and
  • give "above and beyond" during our Lent weekly offerings for our neighbors at home and abroad!!

Join us as we explore important Bible stories through storytelling, craft time and dramatic play.  Each week we continue to build on the fundamentals of faith, learning stories in the Bible and that we are all God's children.

Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, all room assignments will be mailed the end of August.  Maximum class size is 20 students.

If you’d like to volunteer to be a classroom assistant, substitute teacher, or superintendent (help teachers Sunday morning and pick up attendance from each class), please contact Abby Norlin-Weaver or Jeff Larson.
