4th and 5th Graders!

Join the Band and Orchestra!
This fun musical after school program is for 4th and 5th graders who are beginners or who have some experience playing an instrument.  Students learn to play their instruments in sectionals and as large groups. Instruction includes general music concepts which are reinforced through games and group activities.

Wednesday, Sept. 14 - Band and orchestra information meeting, 5:15 - 7:00 at Mount Olivet

Thursday, Sept. 22 - First day of band and orchestra

Thursday, Oct. 20 - No band or orchestra (school release day)

Thursday, Nov. 24 - No band or orchestra (Thanksgiving Day)

Dec. 22 - Jan. 6, 2012 - Winter Break

Thursday, January 26 - Band "See How Far We've Come" Concert, 4:15 pm, Fellowship Hall at Mount Olivet

Thursday, February 16 - Orchestra "January Strings Showcase", 4:30 pm, Fellowship Hall at Mount Olivet

Thursday, April 5 - No band or orchestra (Spring Break)

Thursday, May 3 - Last day of band and orchestra

Tuesday, May 8 - Final band and orchestra concert, 2:00 and 6:30 pm at Burroughs Community School

Tuition:

For Burroughs students:
With district-owned instrument $435 for the school year
With student-provided instrument: $400 for the school year
